Napoleon became increasingly powerful and popular, and in 1799 he staged a coup d'état and was named autocrat of France. He called himself Emperor Napoleon I.

Napoleon was a great general and led the army of France to many victories. In 1804 he was crowned Emperor of the French. His reign lasted until 1814, when he had to abdicate. Napoleon returned in 1815 to assert his power, but was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo and exiled to St. Helena, where he died in 1821.

Lewis Hamilton ist ein britischer Rennfahrer, der zurzeit für Mercedes in der Formel 1 fährt. Hamilton wurde am 7. Januar 1985 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Großbritannien, geboren. Er ist der Sohn von Anthony Hamilton und Carmen Larbalestier. Hamilton hat eine ältere Schwester namens Nicola und einen jüngeren Bruder namens Nicolas.

Hamilton begann im Alter von acht Jahren mit dem Kartfahren und gewann sein erstes Rennen im Alter von zehn Jahren. 1998 wurde er Mitglied des McLaren-Mercedes-Juniorenprogramms. 2001 stieg Hamilton in die Formel 3 Euroserie auf und gewann die Meisterschaft 2002. 2003 wechselte er in die GP2-Serie und gewann 2004 die Meisterschaft.

Am 11. November 2006 unterschrieb Hamilton einen Vertrag mit McLaren-Mercedes für die Formel-1-Saison 2007 als Ersatz für den zurückgetretenen Juan Pablo Montoya. Im selben Jahr gewann Hamilton das Rennen in Australien, was sein erstes Formel-1-Rennen war. 2007 beendete Hamilton das Formel-1-Rennen in Japan auf dem zweiten Platz hinter dem Sieger Kimi Räikkönen. 2012 wechselte Hamilton zu Mercedes und unterschrieb einen Vertrag über drei Jahre mit einem Jahresgehalt von 15 Millionen Pfund plus Bonuszahlungen. 2013 gewann Hamilton sein zweites Formel-1-Rennen, indem er den Großen Preis von Malaysia gewann. Im selben Jahr beendete er das Formel-1-Rennen in China auf dem zweiten Platz hinter dem Sieger Sebastian Vettel.

2014 sicherte sich Hamilton den WM-Titel mit elf Punkten Vorsprung vor Nico Rosberg. Rosberg entschied sich, im folgenden Jahr gegen Hamilton anzutreten, was zu einem intensiven Zweikampf führte, der bis zum letzten Rennen andauerte. 2015 wurde Rosberg Weltmeister mit 297 Punkten, nachdem er das letzte Rennen in Abu Dhabi vor Hamilton gewonnen hatte. 2016 entschied sich Rosberg, nachdem er den Titel errungen hatte, von der Formel 1 zurückzutreten und so blieb es an Hamilton, als neuer Teamkollege Valtteri Bottas unter Vertrag zu nehmen
